Jacksonville Speaks Tour - a Duval County Democratic Black Caucus Event

The Jacksonville Speaks event is a part of the State-wide Florida Speaks Tour lead by the FL State Democratic Black Caucus. Local Chapter leaders join with the Florida State Black Caucus leaders and other Black elected officials to encourage Jacksonville citizens to come out and "...publically address their frustrations and hardships as a result of violations to their civil liberties, racial profiling, 'Stand Your Ground' law, overuse of law enforcement in schools and the lack of access to suitable healthcare." At the Jacksonville Speaks event, we especially encourage speakers to have written comments that include suggested remedies related to your concerns. That way, we can hold appropriate parties accountable to take the necessary actions to address and resolve our community concerns. The IBEW Union Hall is North of State Street on Liberty Street.
