Mayor Deegan takes down Confederate Monuments

In response to Mayor Deegan removing the Confederate Monument in Springfield Park, the Duval County Democratic Party released the following statement:

“A new day is on the horizon in Jacksonville! We applaud Mayor Deegan’s bold action in removing one of the last Confederate monuments from our city. A symbol of hate and insurrection. Let’s keep building a future where all of our community feels seen, respected, and loved!”
