Fred B. Miller, Jr. Regional Envirothon

The Regional Envirothon is an annual event hosted by the Duval Soil and Water Conservation District and the Agriculture Center along with many sponsors. The event host students throughout many North Florida high schools. They use scientific methods toward natural finding such as how old is a tree, identifying rocks and natural habitat in Florida. The students work on a package sent to their schools as soon as they show interest to participate normally in January of the school year. The Regional Envirothon normally takes place some time in March. There is a winning school who goes on to the state competition level. Wonderful location, great environmental event.
