In a huge win, a Federal District Court blocked the City of Jacksonville’s use of gerrymandered City Council maps that racially segregated voters. The new map ordered by the court realigns 7 districts west of the St Johns River and ensures fair elections.
The next regularly scheduled elections under these maps occur on March 21st and May 16th.
