2015 Duval Soil and Water Conservation District Annual Joe B. Forshee, Jr. Speech Contest

To promote a greater appreciation for our Natural Resources; develop Public Speaking and Leadership skills through participation in a Public Speaking activity; to stimulate interest in the conservation of our natural resources and to expose students to the numerous career opportunities, in the Natural Resources and Enviromental Sciences areas. Students from 6th - 12th grade are welcome to talk to the board members, judges and the public audience about "Hardworking Pollinators - Why are they local heroes" deadline to sign - up for the contest is April 14, 2015. Public, private or home school students are encouraged to sign - up. There will be prizes and a chance to go to the regionals. Families if you have a student that you think will be interested tell them about this contest it is a wonderful opportunity to practice public speaking.
